The Government has pledged to support the local film industry. Information Minister Samuel Poghisio said the Government would fully support the Kalasha Awards whose nominees were unveiled on Thursday.
Kalasha is the first ever film and TV awards in Kenya, a brainchild of the Kenya Film Commission. The awards are benchmarked against international film awards such as the Grammy. Voting is already underway. The winners will be revealed during the gala night to be held on June 27 at the Carnivore grounds, Nairobi. Here is the list of some nominees.
