Pat Black: Kenyan-American rapper endorsed by The Game

 Pat Black

Kenyan-American rapper Pat Black is making waves in the hip-hop scene, blending the grit of US rap with the rhythmic soul of East Africa. Fresh off an endorsement from West Coast rap icon The Game, the rising star is gearing up for a major summer anthem alongside Kenyan heavyweights.

The artist, known for viral hits like 'Ting Go Boom' (drill) and 'Soul Bleed' (melodic Afrobeat), credits his dual heritage for his genre-hopping style. “US hip-hop’s rawness meets Kenya’s soulful rhythms—I’m just bringing both worlds together,” he says.

It was The Game’s public co-sign that gave him an extra push. “He told me to keep grinding. That validation meant everything,” he reveals, noting how the nod from the rap legend skyrocketed his engagement and drew the industry’s attention.

Now, Pat Black is setting his sights on a cross-continental hit. Currently in talks with two major Kenyan artists, he’s crafting a track designed to dominate both Nairobi and LA this summer. “It’s all about bridging the vibes,” he teases.

Despite being based in the US, his Kenyan roots remain central to his identity. “My family, my fans—they’re in Kenya. I want to elevate our scene on a global scale,” he says. His adaptability—from drill to R&B—has been key to his rising success.

“I let the music guide me. My voice shifts with the mood—it’s about making each track feel right.”

With plans to split time between Kenya and the US, Pat Black is proving that hip-hop has no borders. “Kenya’s my heartbeat, but hip-hop’s my language. The world needs to hear both.”
