9 people, from a sample size of 5,151, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 323,204 and the positivity rate at 0.2%.

The cumulative tests conducted so far are 3,448,106. 

Eight of the people who tested positive are Kenyans while one is a foreigner. The youngest is a 31-year-old while the oldest is 91 years.

The cases have been distributed in Counties as follows; Nairobi 9, Nakuru, Nyeri and Turkana 1 case each.

Today, 12 patients have recovered from the disease, and all are from the the Home-Based and Isolation Care. This pushes the total number of recoveries to 317,503.

Unfortunately, one patient has succumbed to the disease and is a late death reported after conducting facility audit records in March 2022. This pushes the cumulative fatalities to 5, 647.

A total of 21 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 129 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

One patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is on ventilatory support.

Another four patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

As of Monday, March 14, a total of 17,172,651 vaccines had been administered across the country. 7,932,686 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,854,320.
