34 people, from a sample size of 5,136, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate is now at 0.7% with the total number of confirmed positive cases in the Country at 322,736. 

So far, a total of 3,341,048 samples have been collected.

Of the 34 cases, 17 are male while and 17 are female. The youngest is a five-year-old child while the oldest is 105 years. 

The 34 cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi 21, Vihiga 3, Kilifi 2, Nakuru 2, Siaya 2, Busia 1, Garissa 1, Kisumu 1 and Nyeri 1.

A total of 94 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 554 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. 

5 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and all of them are on ventilatory support.

Another 21 patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

In the last 24 hours, there was no record of a recovered patient. Hence, the total number of recoveries still remains 303,107.

Fortunately, no Covid-19 deaths were reported either. Therefore, the cumulative number of fatalities stands at 5,638.

A total of 40,695 vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours. Those who received their second doses of the vaccine are 23,842.

As of today, a total of 16,222,224 vaccines have been administered across the country. Of these, 7,682,428 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,384,860.
