A 4K livestream spanning more than 10 hours, creative optical effects and an ambitious visual direction put Akhabue Evans Ebalu, popularly known as Dir. En’Man, back in the spotlight as the Hallelujah Festival closed in Lagos.
For Dir. En’Man, the Hallelujah Festival 2026 was another opportunity to demonstrate that live streaming can be much more than simply bringing an event to viewers who cannot attend physically.
The grand finale of Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge took place on Friday, October 30, in Lagos, drawing thousands of worshippers for an evening that extended its reach to a global online audience.
Behind the broadcast was En’Man, whose production approach introduced a series of creative visual treatments that caught the attention of viewers, particularly those within the filmmaking and production community.
One standout moment was the use of a linear kaleidoscope effect, which presented Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s trumpet performance through multiple mirrored and refracted image sections. The result was a striking visual composition that brought an experimental cinematographic touch to the live broadcast.
The production also maintained 4K streaming for more than 10 consecutive hours, highlighting the technical demands involved in delivering a broadcast of that scale without losing visual consistency.
Reactions quickly followed online, with one viewer commenting: “Just when we were catching up, we get hit again. Director En’Man will not give his beloved rest!”
With each major production, Akhabue Evans Ebalu is opening new conversations about the relationship between live streaming, cinematography and creative technology in Africa.
His next opportunity to share that experience comes at FramXpo West Africa 2026, where he is scheduled to lead a masterclass from November 2–4 in Lagos.
For En’Man, the next production challenge is already waiting.
