Police FC coach Bobby “Six-Million-Dollar Man” Ogolla is not worried over big-name spending spree.

The FKF Premier League newcomers have captured the signatures of Clifton Miheso, Musa Mohamed, Duncan Otieno and John Makwatta, all of who have Harambee Stars caps under their belts.

The law enforcers are on the verge of completing the signing of Lawrence Juma from Sofapaka.

Instead, Ogolla said it will inspire him to tackle the hard work making them play as a unit begins now.

“I have been given a free hand in signing new players, which puts pressure on me to ensure the team performs,” Ogolla said during the unveiling of the team’s kit for the 2021/2022 season at Kasarani Stadium Annex on Tuesday. Gaming firm Betika will be their shirt sponsor for the new season.

“The more you get, the more you should give and there’s no shortcut to this,” he said.

Police FC face KCB FC in the next encounter this Saturday and coach Bobby says he doesn’t expect an easy game saying KCB FC is an established team having been together with their coach Zedekiah Otieno for long and managing to finish in second position last season.

Police FC chairman Nyale Munga said his team failed to keep a clean sheet in their first two matches against Kakamega Homeboyz FC 1-0 and Nairobi City Stars 2-0 since they were still relying on the same team, they were with in the second-tier league.

A 3-1 win over Nzoia Sugar have had the men in blue purring.

“After bringing on board players who are used to playing in Premier League level, we are now ready to face any team. We are not looking back again; we are focused on winning and winning,” said Munga at Kasarani Annex.

Munga said Police FC takes players’ welfare seriously by giving them first priority and a good remuneration package.

The club CEO Chris Mmbwanga said the house is almost full after signing 25 players and are working hard to make it 30 by end of the week before handing the list to Football Kenya Federation. Mmbwanga added that the team is prepared ahead of their clash against KCB FC after Nzoia Sugar FC victory last weekend.

“We will give them (KCB FC) their respect but we are loaded and ready for them, we hope to be a very good game,” said Mmbwanga.
