Women have been persecuting men since BC

My Man

While we are not experts in matters religion, we gladly admit that there are consultants and pastors well-versed with these things. However, of importance to take note is that even during the early days, women were very much at the centre of controversy. Oh yes, they have never meant well for a brother!

Women did not start giving us a raw deal today; they started over 2,000 years ago. Even before then, we know what Eve, according to Biblical accounts, did to Adam. She schemed and connived with the devil. The result of their underhand schemes led to that woman misleading Adam into eating a forbidden fruit. That single act has consigned us to a life time of struggle, need and hardships. Paying bills, avoiding tax and avoiding to get a D- have now become a constant struggle.

This, mind you was just for eating a fruit. Suppose they had smoked weed? Or Shisha? Then there was Delilah. She turned all her sexy charming self for the ultimate effort to discover the secret powers of Samson. Men as always will love unconditionally but are always led astray by the woman. Delilah so shamelessly manipulated the love of his life. But look what happened next. She said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you will not share your secret with me?

Three times you have deceived me and have not told me what makes you so strong.” now this was one woman who would have just sat back and enjoyed the enhanced performance of Samson when he was using his ‘sword’ but she was a sellout. He believed that she was on his side, but what happened? His secret powers were revealed to the all and sundry rendering him a sitting duck in a war. When you see us just sometimes saying we are thinking of nothing, it’s because of the thousands of years of being given the raw part of the deal. Men have learnt to keep some secrets to themselves out of painful life lessons. In fact, it shouldn’t bother men anymore that top among their problems remain the women. As the Americans would call it, it’s a no brainer that often the women are the Achilles heel to a man’s ultimate happiness.

Then there is the King Solomon. They do not say he was wise for nothing, I tell you. King Solomon’s account of how he had 700 wives and a further 300 concubines is well documented. These 1000 women lived in perfect harmony and lived happily ever after. But look at the modern women. Your man takes the liberty of getting you a nice house in one part of town and he takes the trouble to get his other woman a house across town to ensure you do not meet unnecessary at the local supermarket and gorge yourselves blind. But what happens?

Despite such well-meaning measures to ensure that there is peace and sobriety, one woman will cause major ruckus and threaten mayhem to protect her territory. But what territory? If she has been unable to perform all her duties to near perfection, then it calls for help. If a vehicle gets stuck in the mud, it has to be pushed/pulled. If you are carrying a heavy load, the best strategy is to get some weight of your back.

All that the men want and have always wanted since the Biblical days is peace of mind. To help our sisters, I will leave them win a Nigerian wise saying, ‘Chicken eats maize, drinks water, swallows pebbles, and still complains of having no teeth. If it had teeth would she eat gold?’ I will not charge for that free consultancy. Happy Easter Monday!
