Bread is known as a staple breakfast meal by many, even those who don't like it. Over the years, it has lost popularity due to the monotony in its form of consumption.
People have been limited by their imagination and have not explored the bread further by making it an ingredient in a recipe.
In as much as it is not advisable to consume bread every day, it has some nutritional benefits like carbohydrates, fibres, vitamins, and minerals.

Eggs
Olive oil

Preparation:
Lightly toast the whole-grain bread until golden brown. Mash the ripe avocado with a fork, adding a dash of salt and pepper for seasoning.
While toasting, poach the eggs until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
Spread the avocado mash generously on the toasted bread. Top it with the poached egg and sprinkle with additional toppings for added zest.
French Toast Sticks
Ingredients:
Sliced bread (preferably a day-old loaf)
Eggs
Milk
Vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Maple syrup or powdered sugar
Banana slices or berries
Preparation:
In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
Cooking: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and cook the soaked bread until golden brown on both sides.
Serving: Serve the French toast sticks with a drizzle of maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar. Add fresh berries or banana slices for a burst of flavour.
Bread Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
1 loaf of bread (white or whole wheat) 8-10 sausage
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Oil
Instructions:
Slice the crusts off the bread slices and, using a rolling pin, flatten each slice to about 1/4-inch thickness. This will make them easier to roll.
Add another flat slice at the edge of another to create a longer slice to roll with. Roll a sausage underneath the newly created slice.
Deep the roll into the beaten and seasoned egg. Place the roll in a pan with heated cooking oil. Cook until golden brown.
