Yesterday was my sixth and last chemotherapy session, Janet Kanini posted on her Facebook page.
This was her latest update on her cancer treatment as she continued to share her journey and experience battling lung cancer.
She revealed that she jubilated and danced at the reception of Faraja Cancer Center when they took out the needle from her chemotherapy port.
Janet will be returning to India for review.
"Next week I return to India for review where I look forward to the doctors confirming what I already know - that I am healed!" she declared.
Janet also revealed that she turned the normally heartbreaking hair loss experience into a festive season family event. Her entire family took part in chopping off the remaining hair.
"Even the kids had their turn with the scissors, though my son kept saying "Haiyaaa Mummy you look funny!" To which I replied "But now I look like you kabisa so we'll be going to the kinyozi together!"
Cindy Ogana her friend and fellow media personality congratulated Janet on this milestone.
“Help me congratulate this awesome most fearless woman Janet Kanini Ikua who has just completed her FINAL cycle of chemotherapy! And when we say final we say IT IS FINISHED!” wrote Cindy.
