Being at home for extended periods can trigger excessive eating. Boredom and stress can be huge triggers so try mitigate this with a few simple tips:
1. Schedule your entire day, including the times you wake up, start and end work, snack and meal breaks as well as exercise time. If possible, plan your bedtime routine too.
2. Plan all your meals and snack at least three days in advance. This will help eliminate impulse eating and control nutritional content. For those who have stockpiled food, it will also help you avoid going through it too fast.
3. Eat purposefully: sit down at the table for meals and even snacks. Eating in front of your computer or TV will lead to mindless eating.
4. Stockpile healthy snacks like fruit and veg so even if you indulge, you are making healthy choices.
