This dessert is simple to make. We will add some nuts to give it a nutty texture and serve it with your favourite vanilla ice cream.
What you’ll need:
3/4 cup sugar
2 medium butternuts cut into cubes
130ml coconut cream
1 tspn vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
300ml milk
50g sliced almonds
50g pistachios
500ml vanilla ice cream to serve
What you’ll need:
In a pan over medium heat, pour the milk, butternut, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and half of the coconut cream.
Let it cook on medium heat until the water has almost evaporated and butternut is soft.
Add in remaining coconut cream, sprinkle some sliced almonds and pistachios and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Once ready let it cool and then serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
