True love is also characterized by feelings of safety. In other words, you feel that you can be yourself around this person. People who care about you should make you feel like you can trust them and rely on them. You should feel comfortable enough to talk to them about anything without feeling judged or criticized. If this person makes you feel valued and respected, it’s a huge sign that you are genuinely in love.
