Today we make onion creamy chicken curry.

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, cut into 12 pieces

1/4 cup vegetable oil

4 onions, sliced and fried until golden

10g fresh ginger, peeled

6 garlic cloves

Handful of fresh coriander

200ml plain yoghurt/sour milk

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon whole cumin/jeera

Salt to taste

Method:

Blend the onions, ginger, garlic, coriander and yoghurt until smooth and set aside.

In a wok over medium, heat drizzle the oil and fry the chicken until slightly golden on both sides.

Add the turmeric, paprika, black pepper, garam masala, coriander, and cumin and mix.

Add salt to the blended mixture and cook until the curry is thick.

Sprinkle fried onions on top (optional ) and serve with naan, rice or ugali. Enjoy!
