During this coronavirus-quarantine, the safest thing to do is to remain indoors all the time, not unless you have to go get some food or medicine. However, after all these weeks staying in the same environment day-in-day-out working from home or homeschooling your kids, you badly need something to cheer you up. How about treating yourself to some nice cocktail on your couch or balcony?

You need to find a balance between simplicity and high quality when making your cocktails and since you are most likely limited on supplies, simplicity should be key.

Here are some simple cocktail recipe suggestions you can consider for inspiration:

1. Ginger pear

This cocktail will leave you feeling like you are on holiday

2. Mojito

In this simple cocktail, you will need to top it up with half a lime and some mint springs for perfection

For the champagne, you can consider one with a sharp touch of lemon

To make it refreshing, pour your vermouth and vodka (or gin depending on your preference) over the glass full of ice cubes

If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can improvise. Use your kitchen cutlery to mix your cocktail. You can also use a coffee mug. Put your ingredients in the mug, including some ice then screw the lid tightly. Use your finger to hold the sprout tightly closed and start shaking!
