4 tips to ensure you are well rested
Nap between 1pm and 3pm
We are usually more alert in the morning but at around 12pm it goes down and gets to its lowest between 1 and 3pm. If you are able to, take a quick nap.
Take coffee before taking your nap.
Usually caffeine takes 20 minutes to kick in so drinking coffee right before you take a nap will ensure that when you are waking up, the caffeine will be kicking in, which will leave you more alert.
Have a bath just before bed.
Taking a bath right before you sleep helps relax your muscles and also reduces your body temperature which tells your body that you are ready for sleep.
List your problems and how you might solve them.
If you’re having trouble sleeping because you’re worrying about a problem at work or in your personal life, put it down on paper. This will help you stop worrying.
