A Ugandan rugby fan popularly known as ‘Museveni’ (pictured) shocked fellow Uganda Cranes fans during their tie against Kabras Sugar Rugby at Kakamega show ground by threatening to cheer Kabras.

‘Museveni’, a gifted soloist who has exhibited unmatched abilities in playing vuvuzela, got worked up during the game after fans from his side gave up voicing their support for the team with the score line reading 7-5 in favour of Kabras.

“By the way I am a free transfer agent, and can always turn to support Kenya’s Kabras when you feel you can’t sing with me. I can blow this Vuvuzela more loudly for Kenya than I am doing for the Cranes if you continue joking like you are doing,” he told tens of Uganda who seemed to have lost their bile and ability to shout after being smitten by chilly weather and light showers.

The fans had no option but to back up their key man in religiously cheering the cranes, a matter that saw them come from behind to claim narrow victory of 11-7 against the home side Kabras Sugar. The win came courtesy of well executed penalties by Uganda fiery kicker Mark Moto.

“We have not come here to see our team lose, we must win and on Kenyan soil, Uganda 15s is always playing on top of Kenya,” ‘Museveni’ said after the victory in a heavy Uganda accent.

Uganda coach Antony Kimani said: “Our main aim was to identify our strenth and weaknesses and not necessarily to win. I know we had a worthy opposition in Kabras charges. They are not a small side given they emerged position two in the main league Cup Final of Kenya Rugby,” he told The Nairobian.
