When the star-studded Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) ceremony gets underway in a week’s time and the winners’ moment arrives, one of the most anticipated category will be that on the Video Vixen of the Year award.

So far, this i one group that is creating major buzz since the votes started pouring in last Friday. It actually could be the hardest contested. So, who will it be? Out of the 24 video vixens who submitted their entries for possible nomination, four hot models triumphed. They include Kenyan international runway and commercial model Delilah Ipupa, leading continental girl-about-town Vera Sidika, socialite and events host model Risper Faith and new gorgeous model in town Amina Amaru.

The four have appeared in a number of leading music videos. Amina is that girl who ‘kills’ it in Sauti Sol’s Nishike as well as Jaguar’s Kioo.

The 23-year-old is described as a beautiful, intelligent and confident model who might just be the game changer in the catwalk world. In this particular awards, Amina has been nominated for her role in Nishike where she not only pulls a daring move over the bare chested six-pack abs but also does it with such a professional decent touch, away from the usual ratchet moves commonly associated with such scenes. Amina is also a Pulse cover girl who has graced the magazine a number of times.

Then we have Delilah Ipupa, one of the most celebrated runway models. She was discovered by Lindsey McIntyre of Surazuri Casting and Consultancy a few years ago.

She had a short modelling stint in Dubai where she used to live before getting back to Kenya a few years ago. Since then, the rather bold girl whom many refer to as another version of Kenyan international Ajuma Nasenyana, Delilah has appeared in a number of commercial billboards as well as TV commercials.

As a top model, Delilah got many by surprise when she appeared on The Ones (Landan Balla featuring Iddi Singer and Petra) giving the video immense value. And it is for this video that Delilah is in the PMVAs.

She has also graced the Pulse pages a number of times. Then, there is Vera Sidika aka Vee S Beiby, this is one girl no one can get off their lips, if not their eyes. Vera was discovered by Pulse a few years ago after which she hit the Pulse cover a number of times.

She then got on demand with many artistes contracting her to feature in their videos. Strategically, she opted to work with the big ballers, appearing on P Unit’s You Guy and Prezzo’s My Gal, videos that got her continental acclaim. Since, she has become the hottest model all Nigerian artistes want to feature hence her latest million-dollar deal on Ebeano, KCEE’s new smash video that has everyone talking. Will she carry the day come the PMVAs? She is the game changer in the world of local socialites, making a bargain in the most prestigious music video awards.

Last but not least is Risper Faith, yet another Pulse cover girl product whose appearance on Blaqy’s Money Maker video ruffled feathers.

She is this curvaceous model who moved from just being a regular student at Mount Kenya University to a celebrity, now gracing top events and hosting VIP shows in upmarket Nairobi.
