Gospel singer Nicah The Queen's ex-boyfriend, DJ Slahver, has disclosed that financial challenges were a significant factor in their recent breakup.

During an interview with Ankali Ray, the DJ clarified that the split wasn't caused by malicious intent but rather by challenges that had accumulated over time.

"I need the break for my mental health as a man. The break-up didn't happen overnight; it was caused by problems that piled up over time. Last year there was an event I was organizing where I was to bring Chris Brown, that's when the problems began. I was conned," DJ Slahver explained.

"I had partnered with two men, one of whom was living in Dubai but unfortunately, I was scammed. I never went public about it. It affected me to the point I resigned. I became broke, and I can say mostly the issues that may have led to our break up is finances."

Before DJ Slahver's revelation, Nicah The Queen had announced the end of their on-and-off relationship on Instagram, stating, "After so much consideration, @slahverdon and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for the love you all accorded us!"

This breakup follows a pattern, as in April 2022, Nicah also publicized the end of her relationship with DJ Slahver, citing the nature of love.

She mentioned, "Slahver and I decided to call it quits and go our separate ways, people can fall in love and they can also fall out. All in all, we move on, regardless I wish him nothing but the best."

In response, Slahver requested time to process the situation, stating, "Thanks for reaching out after the news broke out. I don't think I can say anything at the moment until both of us recover from whatever just happened. It's wise not to say anything while not in my right senses."

Despite the ups and downs, the couple reconciled in the same month of their initial breakup in April 2022.
