Several leaders in Nairobi County have expressed concern over the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Led by the Deputy Minority Leader in the Nairobi County Assembly and Nairobi South Ward Representative, Waithera Chege, the leaders allege that some voters have been transferred to polling stations outside Nairobi without their consent.

Waithera further claimed that some Nairobi residents registering as voters  are finding themselves listed to vote in centres outside the city.

Speaking during Easter gifts distribution in her ward, Waithera cited Embakasi Central and Embakasi West constituencies as among the most affected, alongside other constituencies in Nairobi.

She called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to urgently rectify the issue and urged residents to be vigilant during the registration process so they can make informed decisions in the upcoming general election.
