Nikko Jenkins, who has a notorious history of self-mutilation, tried to make his member look like the ancient god Apophis – but seriously failed
A hapless prisoner has chopped off his own penis in an attempt to make it look like a giant 'Egyptian serpent god'.
Nikko Jenkins believed he was told by ancient god Apophis, who resembles a giant snake, to make his member look like a reptile.
So he sliced it off.
His self-mutilation comes just months after Jenkins botched an attempt to carve '666' onto his own forehead after he forgot he was looking into the mirror.
It actually appeared as '999'.
The convicted murderer, who slaughtered four people in a crazed killing spree in 2013, also tried to slice his tongue like a snake and smeared the blood all over his cell walls.
Prison wardens said they don't known how Jenkins, who is kept in a private cell, hides blades .
Marshall Lux told Omaha.com: "You really have to question how this keeps happening.
"Nobody seems to know exactly what he’s got or how he's getting it. It's a mystery to me."
His latest painful activity has left Jenkins needing 27 stitches.
It is not clear yet whether Jenkins will use the latest self-mutilation to try to get himself again declared incompetent before he can face a death-penalty hearing.
It has worked before.
Jenkins also mutilated himself last year and his death-penalty hearing was delayed. It took a year before the judge declared him competent to stand trial.
His disclosure of a Manson-style mark — the California killer has a swastika between his eyes — was just the latest antic in a case that has dragged on for 20 months.
Jenkins is scheduled to go before a three-judge panel in early July which will decide if he should be executed for his killing of Juan Uribe-Pena, Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz, Curtis Bradford and Andrea Kruger.
The killer says he acts under the voice commands of a serpent god, but psychiatrists are split on whether is he a genuine schizophrenic.
