Singer Cassie's lawsuit against music producer Sean 'Diddy' Combs, alleging beatings and abuse, has been dismissed following a settlement.

The New York court confirmed the dismissal with prejudice and without costs or fees for either party, as reported by TMZ.

The dismissal with prejudice implies that Cassie cannot refile the lawsuit. The settlement was reached the day after the lawsuit was initially filed, and attorney Douglas Wigdor, representing Cassie (Casandra Ventura), announced the resolution in a statement on Friday.

The statement indicated that the parties reached a mutual satisfaction in their deal, but no specific terms were disclosed. Both Cassie and Combs made brief statements expressing their decision to resolve the matter amicably.

Cassie, now 37, thanked her family, fans, and lawyers for their support, stating, "I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support."

Combs, 54, also shared his thoughts, saying, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love."

The lawsuit, dating back to 2005 when Cassie, then 19, signed to Combs' label, alleged a pattern of abuse starting in 2007 during their on-and-off relationship.

Cassie claimed that in 2018, as she tried to end the relationship, Combs forced her into her Los Angeles home and sexually assaulted her.
