Betty Kyallo: Joho was such a nice guy

Former news anchor Betty Kyallo has opened up on her past relationship with ex-Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho saying a lot of falsehoods were spread regarding their break up.

Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni, Betty said they parted ways amicably and Joho never repossessed the famous Porshe Cayenne as was reported by several outlets.

"Tunaskia ulipokonywa gari na aliyekuwa gavana wa Mombasa Hassan Joho (We heard former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho repossessed a vehicle he had given you)," Massawe asked.

"Imagine that story was so fake. That never happened. He was such a nice guy. Even right now we are friends. We are so cool.

"We were so happy for such a long time," she said.

Betty went ahead to say that Joho took care of her bills for an entire year and her sister Mercy added that the ex-governor had asked how best he would support Betty.

"You know he is such a nice guy, he didn't do any of those things. Like tuliachana vizuri. Do you know like for a whole year he paid for everything mpaka DSTv. Kila kitu for a whole year....He really took care of me," Betty said.

"It was a conversation of 'just ask Betty how she would love me to support her in case of anything," Mercy said.

Asked what led to the break-up, Betty did not get into the details but maintained that she never cheated.

She added that she is happy at the moment and just wants to enjoy life with whoever she is with.

"No mimi sasa nakaa kucheat? Me I don't know how to cheat. I am happy right now. I am happy with whoever I am with," Betty said.

Alleged leaked video

Betty also spoke of a wild rumour of an alleged sex tape saying her mum was very concerned that she called her to seek the truth.

Her sister Mercy, on the other hand, teased her that if at all the rumour was true, she hoped Betty looked good in the video.

"Mom ananipigia ananiambia 'Ehh Betty umefanya nini?'. Nkamwambia mom hakuna tape. [Akaniuliza] Uko sure hakuna tape? Hujafanya?," Betty said.

"Mercy called me 'Betty uko na sex tape?' Ati I hope unakaa poa. Alisema I hope unakaa vizuri kwa hio sex tape," Betty added.
