Why Ali Kiba wept before leaving Nairobi

News
 Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba.

Famed bongo flava star Ali Kiba who’s been in the country driving his musical projects got a shocker in the city that made him weep.

This was after a local artist drew a portrait of his late father Mzee Saleh and handed it over to the unsuspecting star.

Ali Kiba and his late father Mzee Saleh.

According to his handler Eric One Wash, the team had figured that gifting him the portrait may make him emotional because of the bond they shared.

“He didn’t expect it because he has received so many portraits of himself previously, but we prepped him well.”

On unwrapping the package, he was surprised to see an exact image of his dad and couldn’t hold back his tears.

Mzee Saleh passed away in 2019 while receiving treatment.
