George Clooney has revealed that his life was ‘empty’ before he met his stunning wife, Amal. The One Fine Day actor, 59, shares twins, Ella and Alex, three, with the human rights lawyer, and after they welcomed their children, George felt as though ‘everything’ in his life had finally fallen together.

The lovebirds tied the knot in 2014, and shortly after their whirlwind wedding, silver fox George realised what all the fuss was about after insisting that he didn’t need another half for several decades. Speaking openly about his realisation on the Today show, the Hollywood star said: “There are some people, their goal was: ‘I have to have children.’ Mine wasn’t.

“I wasn’t looking at life, going: ‘My life will be unfulfilled without children. I felt like I had a pretty full life. Then I met Amal and realized that my life had been pretty empty. And then when you throw these two kids in there, then suddenly you realize how incredibly empty it was.”

After he became a dad in 2017, it soon dawned on the Hollywood heartthrob what he had been missing out on. During the candid chat, George admitted that having children has given him ‘everything’ that his incredibly successful career could not.

“I have a sense of belonging and a sense of home and unconditional love – all the things that you were hoping you could get from a really good career and a dog,” he explained. “You realise that this is a lot more than that.”

George's wholesome admission comes after a royal commentator claimed that his friendship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be in trouble following their explosive Oprah interview about the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have set up home in California with a life mingling with the Clooneys, but their revelations about the royals and subsequent alleged press leak may have ruined it all. Writing in The Guardian, commentator Barbara Ellen has dismissed the couple's chances of being accepted by Hollywood's royalty, as they may have gone about their release from the Royal Family the wrong way.

Ms Ellen wrote: "Considering where Meghan and Prince Harry wish to end up, are they blowing it up big-time?” She added: “Put it this way: has Michelle Obama ever sat on a TV sofa b****ing about her sister-in-law?”

"While it’s accepted that such behaviour is offensive to the royals, it’s forgotten that it’s also the antithesis of how the mega-rich, uber-influential, notoriously private elite conduct themselves.” She went on to say that while Meghan and Harry want to join the likes of George and Amal Clooney and Barack and Michelle Obama, but she pointed out these celebrities are a "discreet breed, living in micromanaged worlds, operating a strict privacy-first code”.

The commentator claimed that the Sussexes will have to work hard to prove themselves worthy of being seen in the same light as some of the most respected celebrities in the world.
