Singer Ne-Yo 'overjoyed' as he announces wife Crystal's third pregnancy

 Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith are pregnant with third child.

Ne-Yo has shared his excitement at announcing that wife Crystal Smith is pregnant with their third child. In an intimate video on Instagram, The Masked Singer runner-up - real name Shaffer Chimere Smith - stroked wife Crystal Smith's baby bump and told that they're "overjoyed" to be expecting again.

The couple already share Shaffer Chimere Jr, five and Roman Alexander-Raj, two, while Ne-Yo also has Madilyn Grace, ten, and Mason Evan, nine, from a previous relationship. That means the tot will be Ne-Yo's fifth - and he insists it will be his last.

"Overjoyed to announce...the family is expanding...#Number5 #5thandFinal #blessingsonblessings @crystalsmith You ready baby? Let's go!" he captioned the sweet clip.

Crystal shared the same clip on her own Instagram, playing This Is Why I Love You by artists MAJOR. This year marks the couple's sixth anniversary after they tied the knot at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

And he told last year that they were contemplating divorce - before quarantine brought them closer together and helped them heal as a couple.

He told The Talk: "Before the quarantine happened, we were definitely talking divorce, and the quarantine forced us to sit still, block out the noise from the world — you know the world can get very, very loud, and we tend to let the world's opinion mean more in certain situations than it should."

Ne-Yo added that thanks to "blatantly, painfully, brutally honest" conversations, the couple are now going stronger than ever.

"We're actually stronger now than we were before," he shared, "Now we feel like we can really talk to each other."

Meanwhile, last month Ne-Yo was revealed to be behind Badger on the UK edition of The Masked Singer, finishing in second place to Joss Stone's Sausage.

"The secrecy at filming was, to say the least, extreme. I doubt Fort Knox has more security!" he reflected after his reveal.

"Aside from it being terribly hot, I loved my mask and costume! The Rock 'n' Roll Badger has become a part of my life and will forever hold a special place in my heart!"
