Nebka Elijah traces his love for art to 2010 when he visited the Louvre Museum in France. According to the Jack of all Trades who also owns a jewelry line, the experience inspired him to get into music.

“While walking in the Tuileries garden, I had the first encounter with my inner self and my life was never the same. It’s been a tasking and long journey, I have questioned myself numerous times but it’s led me to discovering the beauty of art,’ he said.

In other news, upcoming Kenyan singer Q-rias has opened up on his aspirations to popularize a music sub-genre known as Danpuka.  Q-rais, whose debut track was Calif Records-produced Wapendeza (2014) revealed to Standard Entertainment & Lifestyle that it’s a fusion of two popular musical genres.

“Danpuka is a derivation of dancehall and Kapuka. I incorporate aspects of the two genres in my music- birthing Danpuka. I believe it’s only a matter of time before the sub-genre blows up as it’s not only danceable but also relatable,” said the Kasarani-based musician.

After years of working to make a breakthrough, Q- rias asserts that his willpower to make it big hasn’t waned as “music is part of my life, for it’s through music that I express myself.”
