Rapper MF Doom dead at 49

Rapper MF Doom has died aged 49. His wife Jasmine broke the news on social media with a gushing tribute on the rapper's Instagram page. The rapper's cause of death has yet to be revealed.

MF Doom - real name Daniel Dumile - has got a huge fan base and he's well known for his album Madvillainy. Fans loved the star for his masked super villain stage alter ego.

His wife Jasmine penned an open love letter to her late husband for his fans to read which announced his death. She hailed the musician as the "greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend". In an outpouring of grief, Jasmine detailed all the little things she was thankful to him for.

She told his fans: "Begin all things by giving thanks to THE ALL! To Dumile. "The greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend I could ever ask for. Thank you for all the things you have shown, taught and given to me, our children and our family. Thank you for teaching me how to forgive beings and give another chance, not to be so quick to judge and write off. Thank you for showing how not to be afraid to love and be the best person I could ever be."

Heartbroken Jasmine admitted her world would never be the same without him. She finished it off with: "My world will never be the same without you. Words will never express what you and Malachi mean to me, I love both and adore you always. May THE ALL continue to bless you, our family and the planet."

Jasmine told her husband's fans he had died on October 31 earlier this year. MF Doom has a huge fan base of 430k followers on Instagram.
