Jeremih has been placed on a ventilator as he fights coronavirus in intensive care, it's claimed. Reports that the singer, 33, had been admitted into hospital first surfaced earlier this week, and it's now said he is on a breathing ventilator.

According to TMZ, Jeremih's prognosis is not looking good as his condition has worsened. Jeremih, whose real name is Jeremy Phillip Felton, is known for his songs Birthday Sex, Down on Me and Don't Tell 'Em, all of which made the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.

TMZ said: "Sources with direct knowledge tell us the R&B singer is being treated at a hospital for Covid-19. "It's unclear how long he's been admitted, or how long he's had the virus ... but he is not doing well." 50 Cent was the first to confirm that Jeremih's hospitalisation was coronavirus-related. The rapper tweeted: "Pray for my boy Jeremih he's not doing good this Covid s*** is real."

Chance The Rapper also tweeted about the worrying news. He posted: "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he's ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him."
