Ugandan pop star Eddy Kenzo is a relieved man. This after his decades-long search for his lost biological sister ended on October 5. Taking to social media to announce the good news, Kenzo disclosed that they separated 23 years ago after their family hit rock bottom and only got word that she had been traced when he returned to Uganda after a four-month stay in Côte d'Ivoire.

“I discovered my sister after 23 years. God is great. During street times, everyone went their separate ways and we looked for each other until this year that God decided for us to meet. I am so grateful and happy that I have discovered my mother’s daughter,” posted the BET award winner.

Opening up about her disappearance to NBS, the Big Talent Boss,30, narrated that she was young when they took to the streets and decided to hand her over to an unidentified woman in Katwe, a locality in Kampala that houses the city's largest slum. She, however, fell to troubled foster care and eventually fled her caregivers.

“I and my other brother handed our sister to some woman in Katwe as she was still very young and could not be on the streets with us. The woman we handed our sister also handed her to another woman,” he said. “We had almost given up on her but God always has his own plans. I now have my sister with me. She has been suffering on the streets of Katwe... I was buying things from her in Katwe not knowing she was my sister. I’m so happy.”
