After months of serving serious couple goals on social media and giving netizens sleepless nights, many were surprised to learn that popular Tanzanian singer Juma Musa Mkambala better known by his stage name Juma Jux and his Asian girlfriend Nayika, broke up.

This is after curious netizens noticed that the singer had pulled down all of his ex-girlfriends pictures from his social media accounts. Jux confirmed their break up not long after but refrained from getting into too much details surrounding their split until recently.

Opening up during an interview with Dozen Selection, Jux clarified that he was still single and was enjoying his singlehood. “I am very single.  I have been single for close to four months now. I am so happy I don’t have any problems. To be honest, sometimes I miss being with someone but I’m okay. I don’t feel any less of a human because I am single. I’m in fact minding my own business and continuing to work on my music. It really hasn’t hurt me as much, I’m actually okay but like I said I’m single now,” he said.

Jux went on to point out long-distance as the reason why things didn’t work out between him and Nayika. “It’s just life. Sometimes God has a different will for you and if you have noticed, my break up ended cordially with both of us coming to an agreement to go our separate ways. Just like the lady I was recently with, Nayika….. Our break up was as a result of long-distance, a matter of where she stays and where I stay. Even her work and my work environment were different.

“It was really hard… we were having a really hard time as a couple. So it not out of bad faith, like I said, God has other plans for us that we might not know about. We can be busy planning who we want to spend the rest of our lives with but we don’t know that God is planning otherwise so I just leave everything to Him,” he added.

Message to Vanessa Mdee

Speaking in a separate interview held the same day, Jux weighed in on his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Mdee’s decision to quit music. Vanessa, who is currently in a serious relationship with American based Nigerian actor Olurotimi Akinosho aka Rotimi announced not too long ago that she was planning to quit music and concentrate on building her life terming the music industry as demonic.

According to Jux, Vanessa’s decision to throw away her music career might have been influenced by her love for Rotimi. He went on to advise her not to choose love over her dreams. “Nobody should risk their lives for things we can do without.  Don't ruin your career or your life because of love. Remember some parents gave birth to you and they are all looking at you. Don't only think about a person you meet while you are already a grown-up. Think about people who struggled for you to be in that career before quitting because of love,” said Jux.
