Mbosso first rose to fame about two years ago after he was signed under the famous Tanzanian record label WCB where he released his first hit songs Hodari and Nadekezwa. The scale just keeps going upwards for the singer as he recently celebrated his famous track Hodari for garnering 35 million streams. This comes not too long after he announced that his song Tamba had been doing extremely well on the digital platforms with over 10 million streams months after being released.
“Wimbo Wenu Pendwa #Tamba Sasa Umefikisha Streams Milioni 10 (10,000,000,) kwenye Digital Platforms. Asante Sana Kwa Upendo wenu na Mwenyezi Mungu awabariki Sana,” Mbosso wrote.
Although his music career was suddenly shaken by grief after he lost his long term girlfriend and mother of his now 5 year old son, Mbosso did not allow the anguish to get the better part of him as he has continued to rock the airwaves with his breathtaking love songs.
Mbosso’s big win comes a few days after his boss Diamond Platnumz celebrated hitting 4 million subscribers on YouTube.
“4 Million Subscribers on Youtube...I couldn’t have gotten this far if it weren’t for you my fans,” he wrote.
