Veteran Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has gone back to school to improve her leadership skills. The Nigerian celebrity shared the exciting news on her Instagram explaining that the decision to go back and educate herself was the best decision she has ever made.
“Back to school… Best decision I ever made… Leadership flows to the one who knows, never stop educating yourself… New levels require new information,” she wrote.
Before her decision to widen her leadership scope, Tonto had exhibited tremendous skills running her foundation, The Tonto Dikeh Foundation, which she founded back in 2000 to cater for “for abused women, unwanted pregnancy as a result of molestation/rape and motherless children all around the world.”

In Kenya, we have witnessed notable celebrities go back to school and pursue either their masters or a Bachelor’s degree that would push their art to the next level. Why do they go back to school you ask? According to popular comedian Jalang’o, who is enrolled as a student at Daystar University, “talent without school is nothing.”
At first, Jalang’o says he did realize the importance of pursuing education yet he had a flourishing career, but, as he reveals, his interaction with his colleagues taught him otherwise. “I have already done more than 100hrs in school from a possible 140! 40hrs to go before I wear the same gown! I pushed myself soo hard,” he said.
Larry Madowo
Former NTV anchor Larry Madowo shocked many when he announced his exit from the media house to go and further his education. The media personality graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business & Economics Journalism from the Columbia University in New York a few months ago and now has a flourishing career with the BBC.
“I just graduated virtually! Master’s in Business and Economics Journalism from Columbia in the bag. And finished with Knight-Bagehot Fellowship at Columbia journalism. And my thesis won the 2020 Philip Greer Award for Financial Writing. I’m so grateful for all these blessings & I don’t even have a photo to show for it!
