Game of Thrones' Kit Harington unveils dramatic new look as he ditches trademark hair

Game of Thrones hunk Kit Harington has chopped off his long curly locks leaving him looking dramatically different.

The actor, 33, who rose to fame as Jon Snow in the HBO cult series, has decided to ditch his lush lengthy style in favour of a shaven buzz cut and he showcased his new look when he took his dog for a walk in London this week.

In snaps taken of the star during his stroll, he looked every inch the action hero and nothing like his King Of The North fantasy character as he rocked the super short hairstyle.

Acton native Kit continued his suave display by donning a pair of form-fitting jeans teamed with a thin knitted roll neck with short sleeves.

He appeared to grab some food during his outing as he toted a brown paper takeaway bag as he walked along the pavement.

Kit's new hairdo comes after he shared his reaction to the controversial response from fans after the Game of Thrones' final season.

Many fans complained that the eighth and final season of the show based on George R. R. Martin's still-unfinished fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire, was too short and tried to do too much at once.

Those who are desiring a bit more dragon-action can rest easy, however, as a spin-off series focused on the Targaryen Dynasty generations before the events of the original show is on its way from HBO Max.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, in September, the British star shared his thoughts on the series final:"I still haven’t seen the show. So that’s how I dealt with that controversy - I haven’t seen the final season but I know what it took to shoot it. It was hard and all of them put their love and effort into it."

He added: "I think for us, we knew what we were doing was right, story-wise, and we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. Controversy for us didn't really affect us."
