Wakavinye’s sweet message to husband Njugush as he turned 29

Comedian Timothy Ndegwa aka Njugush recently turned a year older and in celebration, his wife Celestine Ndinda - better known as Wakavinye, took to social media to reflect on a year gone by.

Wakavinye in a heartfelt Instagram post, wished her husband Njugush, 29, an amazing year filled with God’s favour.

The bubbly social media sensation did not forget to remind the comic of how blessed she was to have him in her life as a husband and father to son Tugi.

“Happy birthday Tim, 28 was a great year!!! Sasa uko lap ya mwisho ya 20's enyewe uzee haina hodi. Wishing you nothing but God's favour upon your life. Tugi and I are lucky to have you in our lives. Cheers to more life baba Tugi. Nakupenda tu sana yaani, kiwendo fulani ki-amazing!” Wrote Wakavinye.

Taking to her comment section with even more birthday messages, a section of their followers, including celebrities, joined Wakavinye in celebrating the former Real Househelps of Kawangware star.

@Mwalimchurchill wrote, “Happy birthday Bingwa. @blessednjugush. Ndio kuanza eti,” while @Mike.sonko stated “Unaletewa Hennessey after curfew” so did @Alex_mwakideu who added, “Happy Birthday bro”.

@Ladybee_254 was not left behind either and wrote: “Happy birthday more grace,” hot in the heels of similar messages by; @Eddiebutita – “Happy Birthday Baba Tugi, @Nanaowiti -Happy Birthday Baba T, @Djmokenya -Happy birthday, @Kansiime256_ - Happy birthday my friend, @Millywajesus - Happy birthday baba Tugi and @Giladmillo - Happy Birthday Baba Tugi more life brother and lots of love to your beautiful family”, among others.

Moved by all the love from her fans and fellow celebrities, Njugush took to his page and appreciated everyone who took the time to remember him.

“I have no words. The love you've shown me today was overwhelming. Most of you assumed my M-Pesa, only @barakamwaura who sent 29 Bob only it now reads 53kshs. Thanks, everyone for the love, the appreciation posts, wishes, prayers and warm regards. Your warm support keeps me going. Asante I Sana.

“I turn 29 with nothing but a heart full of Thanksgiving, God has been good to me. Bless y’all @celestinendinda kuja uniwish happy birthday. Thank you I have no better words to say,” wrote Njugush.

Growing up, Njugush admitted to not giving to much thought into celebrating birthdays. It was after meeting Wakavinye whose parents were keen on birthdays that his perspective changed.

Njugush in a previous interview admitted to being too broke to afford anything special for his wife on her birthday when they dated in campus.

“I was so broke that on her birthdays I used to kill my family members bana, "Babe, nimepigiwa simu; kuna uncle wa cousin ya aunt ya Cucu wa beste ya mwalimu wangu wa nursery amepass... Exams. LOL, nisiitishwe treat aki.”

“But she understood, the heart really wanted to treat her lakini mfuko ilikua petition. She told me because we gonna be together for long hizo birthday nitalipia tu,LOL, and she was categorical that she'd want one of those birthday's iwe Dubai,” said Njugush.
