A Kisumu court has acquitted a contractor linked to a collapsed building that killed seven people in 2013.
Principal Magistrate Joan Wambilyanga acquitted Ravinder Brar of seven counts of manslaughter, saying the prosecution did not prove that he was the contractor for the building along Kenyatta Avenue.
Mr Brar was charged that on January 16, 2013, at Kisumu East District within Nyanza Province with another not before the court, he killed seven people.
Prosecution lined up eight witnesses.
