With age, comes wisdom, so it seems.

Cash Money Records CEO Birdman has announced plans to change his signature look by removing his face tattoos.

Appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, the rapper, who turned 50 on February 15 revealed that 50 Cent had offered him advice on his decision to remove the tattoos, since the rapper underwent a similar procedure.

“I didn’t want to take the (head tattoos) off, but I want to take the facials off.

“And I was asking my partner, 50 (Cent)… ’cause he removed his tattoos. So I wanted to go to somebody who can take these tats off my face,” Birdman said.

“If I have to live with it, I will. I just felt like, me being older, I would like to get it off. But if not, it is what it is,” he added.

Speaking to Forbes earlier, Birdman opened up on how they have played an unwanted role in his business.

“I just think at this point in my life, I don’t need that. That stereotypes you. It takes away from the business and certain things,” said the New Orleans native.

In 2010, 50 Cent underwent laser tattoo removal in a bid to make his acting gigs easier.

“It cuts down on the amount of time I have to spend in makeup covering them up," he told People at the time.
