Nick Ruto, the son of Deputy President William Ruto was on Wednesday admitted to the bar by Chief Justice David Maraga.
Nick was among 223 law graduands admitted to the bar as Advocates of the High Court of Kenya in an event that took place at the Supreme Court.
This follows his name being gazetted as an advocate in December last year.
DP Ruto had this message for his son as he began his career.
“Hearty congratulations Nick Ruto for being admitted to the Bar. As you begin a career in the legal profession, may you stand true to your calling as a defender of justice, human rights and an avid campaigner for equality and truth,” wrote the DP.
Nick Ruto was not the only son of a politician at the event. Michael Kamanda, the son of nominated MP Maina Kamanda also took his oath.
