Lawyer Miguna Miguna has been blocked from accessing the Twitter page of Raila Odinga, the man he previously served as a political advisor.

The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement General alleged that Odinga blocked him due to the details in his soon to be released book; Treason: The Case Against Tyrants and Renegades.

He added that the book whose release date is December 20, 2018, was going to be an "explosive revolutionary engagement".

“Mr. Hand-Chequer, @RailaOdinga, the **************, blocks me on @Twitter as "TREASON: The Case Against Tyrants and Renegades" nears release. It's going to be an explosive revolutionary engagement ahead. Cheers!”

This is, however, not the first time he has been blocked.

The outspoken lawyer was blocked by Deputy President William Ruto in September 2017, for "crossing the line".

“Mr. @WilliamsRuto has blocked me for criticizing him. He is not a private citizen.”

Explaining his decision, Ruto told KBC, “I don’t allow negative people on my timeline, when I find people who consistently cross the line I block them.”

Raila Odinga's blockage, however, signals a further dip in their relationship after the much -publicized swearing in of  Odinga as the People's President early in the year.

Miguna was among the leaders who surrounded Odinga as he took the symbolic ‘oath’ at Uhuru Park, Nairobi. Others were lawyers Tom Kajwang' and James Orengo.

Miguna's books have in the past elicited heated exchanges.

The former aide to the Prime Minister was confronted by rowdy youth in 2012 at the Castle Royal Hotel, Mombasa, during the promotional tour of his controversial book, Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya.

It took the intervention of anti-riot police and flying squad officers to whisk Miguna away.

The besieged author had earlier also faced a hostile reception in Nakuru and Kisumu. The youths accused him of trying to scuttle Odinga's quest for the presidency.
