Gospel singer Simon Peter popularly known as Hope Kid sent out a request to controversial artiste Willy Paul urging him to go back to singing what he said were true gospel songs like Sitolia.

In an interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva, Hope Kid said that his request and that of many other christians is to see him go back to his 'first love'.

The reason why God alishine the light upon your life is because he saw something in you na aliashine hiyo light ukifanya kazi yake, sio hii kazi ingine. So, if you can go back to the first love, sisi kama Wakristo utuimbie wimbo ingine kama sitolia tutashukuru sana. Hio ni kilio ya every Christian. So mimi naambia tu Pozee kindugu, Pozee, imba zile nyimbo za Yesu zile zenyewe,” said Hope Kid.

He also advised Willy Paul and Bahati to stop begging for collaborations from Tanzanian musicians.

“Be wise, when Tanzanians were invading Kenyan market, they didn’t need any Kenyan artiste. So, when we want to invade theirs, we want to work with them. We are playing ourselves, we have everything it takes” he added.

Hopekid’s sentiment, however, seemed to attract a brazen response from the singer.

He took to social media a day later and posted what looks like a reply to Hope Kid.

“Their fear!! I’m stopping at nothing... you hear me???,” he posted.

Hopekid’s sentiments also ignited mixed reactions among netizens;

Evans Omarion Makes sense but it’s like a pig trying to advise the duck to always play cool not to play in dirty water…both are monkeys but from different forests.
