Deputy President William Ruto’s wife Rachel, has launched a prayer timetable that she wants all Kenyans to adopt starting today the 10th of October.
In the timetable, Rachel has urged Kenyans to pray for the nation, government, businesses, the church and media.
Through a twitter post, the DP’s wife outlined schedules for the session dubbed National Weekly Prayer and Fasting accompanied with verses.
It is not the first time that Rachel is getting hands on in prayers. Known to be very religious, she once led residents living near Salgaa,Nakuru County, in prayer to cleanse the hotspot.
Interior CS Fred Matiang’i gazetted October 10 as a public holiday and indicated that his ministry will soon make proposals to Parliament for a review of the Public Holidays Act on how heroes will be celebrated.
Kenya has 12 public holidays. Moi day was last celebrated in 2002.
