Kenyan singer Mary Maina Wanjiru alias Marya has opened up about gaining weight almost two years after giving birth.
In a question and answer session with her fans on Instagram, the Chokoza hit-maker sought to lay it bare to one of her curious fans.
Marya revealed that she was not proud of her new shape and plans to shed weight as soon as possible.
“Asking with good intentions, are you happy with your weight? Do you feel the need to lose weight?” posed the fan before complimenting her.
Marya did not mince her words telling her blankly that she wasn’t impressed with her new look and it was just a matter of time before she hits the gym.
“No I am not happy with my weight at all, and I am planning to lose it. Thank you for your compliment,” she replied.
The singer also revealed that a small misunderstanding was behind the ‘short break up’ with her husband Kelvin Mutisya but they managed to sort it out.
Marya claimed to have walked out of the relationship but photos of the two hanging out together fuelled speculations of their reunion.
