Serious cases like murder are often thrown out with dusty files literally growing legs and walking away from the cabinets.
“Once he is bribed, even witness statements will disappear mysteriously without a trace,” a source told PowerPlay.
And he is feared.
“You cannot tell on him and get away with it, he will jail you even if you were poised to win the case. You either bribe him or go to jail,” an ex-convict told PowerPlay.
The magistrate is even telling those appearing before him to call their kin back home to sell cows or land to bring the proceeds before he can deal with their cases.
“He sits in his courtroom almost daily. He then dispatches police officers to tell you to grease his palms to rule in your favour,” an ex-remandee told PowerPlay.
