400m hurdles World Champion (2015) Nicholas Bett has died.

The athlete perished in a grisly road accident in Nandi County after the car he was driving veered off the road and landed in a ditch at Sachoi.

According to Nandi Police Commander Patrick Wambani hit a bump before losing control near Lessos along Eldoret-Kapsabet road.

He was travelling from Nairobi after participating in the just-concluded African Athletics Championships in Nigeria.
