Tanzania in mourning as son of famed bongo actress dies in Nairobi

The Tanzanian showbiz scene is stricken with grief over the sudden passing of the son of famed bongo movie actress and singer Rose Alphonce popularly known as Muna Love.

Muna Love’s seven-year-old son, Patrick Peter, passed away after being flown to Nairobi for surgery but went into a coma.

According to a statement from the family, Patrick's illness started last year and doctors had recommended his leg be amputated to alleviate his joint problems.

“Patrick Peter alianza kuugua Mwezi Julai mwaka Juzi baada ya kuanza kusumbuliwa na maradhi ya kusagika kwa joint ya mguu wake wa kulia na kufika hatua ya ushauri wa kidaktari kuwa akatwe mguu.

“Maisha ya Patrick kwa kiasi kikubwa yalikua ndio chanzo kikubwa kilichobadilisha maisha ya mama yake, Muna Love na ushuhuda ulileta matokeo mapya ambapo alitangaza kuachana na shughuli zilizompatia umaarufu zaidi na kuanza kuishi maisha ya Wokovo.” 

Messages of condolences have been pouring in from Tanzanian celebrities including Diamond, Harmonize, and Wema Sepetu among others after news of Patrick’s death filtered out
