A section of MCAs has threatened to lead a mass boycott of products from a soft drink manufacturing company over alleged sale of expired products.
The MCAs demanded the withdrawal of the company's products from local shelves in seven days, failure to which they would go court. Led by Sensi MCA Paul Angwenyi, the ward representatives accused the beverage company of turning the region into a dumping ground for repackaged products whose sell-by dates were overdue.
Angwenyi also lamented inaction by Health officials and those from the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
