As the month of May drew to a close, the doors of the KICC were wide open for the biggest concert of the year, Choma Na Ngoma.
The much-hyped concert did not disappoint, attracting over 4,000 music lovers who trooped to the iconic grounds to witness Nigeria’s finest export, Yemi Alade, in action.

Flown in courtesy of plane tickets paid for by Bonfire Adventures and accommodated at Ole Sereni, Yemi Alade took to the stage at around 1 am and proved why she has an MTV African Music Award at her belt.
Hers was a scintillating performance for the ages that she spiced up by pulling in Kenya’s boy group Sauti Sol for their popular song ‘Africa.’

Earlier on the extravaganza had kicked off with Kenya’s finest talents who were on show pelting out tune after tune to the charged crowd.
Fena Gitu was first on stage and showed why she was among the top MCs in the country. The Kansoul made the night one to remember as they psyched the crowd to the roof.
King Kaka and Khaligraph Jones were not left out either, the duel as to who was Hip-Hop’s King was on the cards and they made their presence felt.

Willy Paul was also on point. His class as a tested performer was on the show, pulling moves with his dancers to the delight of the crowd.

Perhaps, the surprise of the night was Nyashinski who brought the house down as he pelted out his love ballads alongside Sauti Sol.

Also in attendance was Kasabun heavyweight Timmy Tdat and Coast-based crooner Susumila.

Food and drink were in plenty as EABL had set up shop while loads of meaty goodness was served up by several vendors. VVIP food was provided by Ole Serenity catering.

Yemi Alade was chauffeured around the city by Lesus luxury car service.
