Vladimir Putin will showcase his new robot combat army including a tank and state of the art stealth fighter at a major military parade in Red Square.
Russia's annual Victory Day parade will see Putin confirm his new machine army, including the Su-57 stealth fighter, which is fresh from war zone trials in Syria.
The annual parade on Wednesday is held to commemorate the allied victory against the Nazis in World War Two.
The unmanned Uran-9 tank- which is capable of destroying NATO tanks will also feature during the procession.
The 12-tonne machine can strike targets from 16,000 feet (4.9km) away during the day and 9,850 (3km) during the night.
It is equipped with an automatic cannon, machine gun, flame throwers and an anti-tank guided missile launcher and is designed for reconnaissance, fire support and attacking other tanks.
Fighter jets Su30SM and MiG-29SMT will join the Su-57 in flying over the capital for the first time during the celebrations.
The single-seat Su-57 is designed for attack roles and is fitted with a "revolutionary" system capable of autonomous calculations of the battlefield dynamics, to aid the pilot.
Once the jet is in full service it will be capable of striking a target with a number of weapons, including special anti-radar missiles.
The military robot display follows Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu’s recent pledge to fast-track the automation of the Kremlin’s growing military machine.
A few years ago the Russian army had 160 unmanned aerial vehicles. However, it now has 1,800, according to the minister.
He said: "We have begun creating combat robots. Their state and army tests are nearing completion. And I hope we will begin (their) serial production as early as this year."
He added work to create mine-clearing robotics has already been completed.
He continued: "Today such robots are already in serial production... Our work has not stopped for a single day or hour.”
Russia's military snowmobile Berkut will be on display, which can tackle snow at speeds of up to 37 mph.
Some 55,000 troops,1,200 weapons systems and 150 war planes will take part in military parades in 28 cities across Russia on May 9.
