Diamond Platinumz Wasafi Records is establishing Nairobi as a launching springboard, its new nerve centre where it will be based as it recruits artistes across the region.
Wasafi Records, which is currently controlling Bongo music in Tanzania with over 15 signings, plans to recruit and manage artistes from across the region, a strategy that could cement Diamond as the new showbiz guru across East Africa that after making investments in Radio and TV business among other ventures.
The new revelations were made during the Nairobi launch of his new album that was attended by among others American rapper Omarion.
“We are doing a new project with Omarion. In fact, in the new song, Omarion will be singing in Swahili,” Diamond revealed during the album launch held at the Kenya National Theatre, Nairobi.
