Everton’s major shareholder Farhad Moshiri has made extraordinary claims regarding Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku’s decision to leave the club.
According to Moshiri, Lukaku decided to leave the Merseyside club after a witch doctor advised him to join Chelsea, Daily Mail reported.
Moshiri, who was speaking during Everton’s annual general meeting added that he could not make sense of the move to Chelsea.
“His agent came to the training ground and was about to sign and the player was on a pilgrimage in Africa and he had a voodoo or something and he had to sign for Chelsea” stated Moshiri.
Lukaku, who subsequently joined Manchester United was expected to sign a new contract with Everton but in March 2017, he backtracked on the deal and informed the club that he wanted to leave.
