Celebrated Citizen TV political reporter Francis Gachuri is in mourning.
Gachuri is mourning the passing of his aunt Nancy Ngonyo Kamundi who died in a road accident.
Breaking the sad news to his followers, Gachuri wrote that the death of Kamundi was the 4th family member he has lost in a span of six months.
“Our family mourns for the 4th time since May 2017. Another road accident.
“Another precious life lost. Rest well auntie Nancy Ngonyo Kamundi. We mourn you,” wrote Gachuri.
Gachuri made headlines in August after he was assaulted along with other journaists at the Wiper Party offices along Othaya Road, Nairobi by goons.
The goons reportedly were baying for his blood who did not want some particular media houses to provide coverage of a Parliamentary Group meeting that was going on at the premises.
Gachuri was saved from the angry goons by MPs who tried calming down the situation before all journalist who had gone to cover the event walked out of the premises in solidarity with the assaulted journalists.
